Our Grey Dawn

Our Grey Dawn was a dream come true in pedigree.  His sire, Hell Cats' Reveille by Broadland's Kilarney by Kalarama Colonel,  was such a wonderfully talented horse with great desire to live.  He was bitten by a Recluse Spider and after several months he recovered. He was soon kicked by a mare and had intestines hanging outside of his belly.  The veterinarian did field surgery and we saved him.  He lived to sire foals for seven more years.  I purchased the old mare, Chocolate Kiss by Royal Kalarama, on the chance that I could get a foal that would carry on the Kalarama Rex bloodline. Chocolate Kiss died soon after Our Grey Dawn was born, leaving him as an orphan foal.  Star Shine, another 24 year old mare nursed both her foal and the baby stallion. Our Grey Dawn shares the heart, endurance, beauty and ability through the intensity of Kalarama Rex and the other very old bloodlines of Jack Twigg and King Barrymore. His short back and high set neck along with his Look-At-Me attitude are desirable traits to meld with today's bloodlines. Our Grey Dawn is now an old stallion, but very worthy of consideration.
